62 wheatfield herbicide product registrations granted in China in 2024, a roughly 50/50 split between single agents and mixtures

According to industry data, up to date, 62 wheatfield herbicide product registrations have been granted in China in 2024, including 30 single agents and 32 mixtures.

The types of formulations include EC, SC, SE, OD, SP, SL and WDG, among which EC, SC, SE are of the largest number, as shown in the following figure:

It is found out that the wheatfield herbicides are registered mostly for application to winter wheatfield, wheatfield and spring wheatfield mainly for control of annual weeds, annual grassy weeds and annual broad-leaved weeds.

The major active ingredients involve Pinoxaden, Florasulam, Isoproturon, fluroxypyr-meptyl, Isooctyl 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate, MCPA-isooctyl and Mesosulfuron. The registrations of active ingredients of single agents and mixtures are shown as the following table:
