From Jan. To Mar. 2022, China Exported 4.16 Million Tons of Fertilizers and Imported 2.44 Million Tons

 

Preliminary statistics from China Customs show that from January to March 2022, China exported 4.155 million tons of various macro element fertilizers (including ammonium chloride, potassium nitrate and organic fertilizers for animals and plants, the same below), a year-on-year decrease of 33.2%; the export value was 17.87 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%.

 

In March, the export of various fertilizers was 1.609 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 40.2%; the export value was 710 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 6.0%.

 

In terms of imports, from January to March 2022, China imported a total of 2.436 million tons of various fertilizers, a year-on-year decrease of 17.0%; the import value was 1.047 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 42.2%. The average unit price of imported fertilizers in the first quarter rose by 71.3% year-on-year.

 

In March, China imported 805,000 tons of various fertilizers, a year-on-year decrease of 33.2%; the import value was 374 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%.
