  • Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl

    Application:Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl is a selective herbicide with contact and systemic action, absorbed principally by the leaves, with translocation both acropetally and basipetally to the roots or rhizomes. Post-emergence control of annual and perennial grass weeds in potatoes, beans, soya beans, beets, vegetables, peanuts, flax, oilseed rape and cotton; and (when applied with the herbicide safener Mefenpyr-diethyl) annual and perennial grass weeds and wild oats in wheat, rye, triticale and, depending on ratio, in some varieties of barley.

    Application:Post-emergence herbicide with foliar uptake only and no soil activity. A systemic herbicide that is readily absorbed by plant tissue, is moderately phloem-mobile and accumulates in meristematic regions. Grass weeds cease growth immediately after treatment, with yellow patches appearing within 2–3 days to one week, leading to necrosis and death of the whole plant within 2 to 3 weeks. For post-emergence control of grass weeds in rice.

    Application:Non-selective contact herbicide with some systemic action. Translocation occurs only within leaves, predominantly from the leaf base to the leaf tip. Control of a wide range of annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds and grasses in fruit orchards, vineyards, rubber and oil palm plantations, ornamental trees and bushes, non-crop land, and pre-emergence in vegetables. Also used as a desiccant in potatoes, sunflowers, etc. For control of annual and perennial weeds and grasses in glufosinate-tolerant crops (oilseed rape, maize, soya beans, sugar beet) developed through gene technology.

    Application:Haloxyfop-P-methyl is a selective herbicide, absorbed by the foliage and roots, and hydrolysed to Haloxyfop-P, which is translocated to meristematic tissues, and inhibits their growth. Haloxyfop-P-methyl is used post-emergence for control of annual and perennial grasses in soya beans, flax, sugar beet, fodder beet, oilseed rape, potatoes, leaf vegetables, onions, vines, strawberries, sunflowers and other crops.

    Application:Systemic herbicide, absorbed by the root system and/or leaf surface, and translocated to meristem tissues. Halosulfuron-methyl has demonstrated activity for the control of annual broad-leaved weeds and nutsedge species, in rice, wheat, maize, sorghum, sugarcane, tomato, nuts and turf. Efficacy has been observed with post-emergence applications.

Control of emergent and submerged aquatic weeds. Weed control on non-crop land. Weed control and tassel inhibition in sugar cane.   • Acetochlor

    Application:Acetochlor can be applied prior to planting or pre-emergence. Following application to the soil it is absorbed by the shoots and roots of germinating plants. Some moisture is required following pre-emergence application although acetochlor is more active in dry conditions than other chloroacetamide herbicides. It has residual activity lasting up to ten weeks. In common with other chloroacetamides acetochlor is less effective at controlling large-seeded broadleaf weeds. Tank-mixing or sequential applications with suitable herbicides are recommended to extend acetochlor's weed spectrum. Acetochlor can also be used in no-till agriculture.
